 work in progress: I'm currently working on the final designs of Teiresias. That might be the end of this project for now as I feel that I need to start working on something different, having all these ideas wandering in my mind... so here's some of the rough design work in progress to give an idea of what's about to follow!

I'm calling this done for now.. would like to go back and fix a couple of things in the foreground layer and refine it a bit more.. also the foreground outline is a bit too strong.. hopefully I will get some time after my uni assignments are over for the term.. too many things to do! 

I am quite happy with the colour palette I've chosen though, gives a good balance and just the right mood :)

The first term of the MA has been quite intense and it took me a good week during Christmas to recover! And I know it's only going to get harder! All ready for the new term now, we'll be working on group projects amongst other assignments as well.. it all sounds very exciting and can't wait to start producing work again! Although I need to remember to take breaks this time and stop pushing myself to the degree I stop enjoying animation!

Now, about the new post, just a few quickies for an upcoming pitch for a CG 30sec short.. dunno if we'll choose to develop it any further but it was fun doing these! :)

London Sketch-crawl, October 2012

 Yesterday me and Magnus took a 2 and 1/2 bus ride to London to meet the rest of the sketch crawl dudes. I had a great time, possibly one of the best sketch-crawls I've ever been to!! :) It was really nice catching up with friends and also meeting some new people while sketching.. It was also supposed to be the world's Zombie day(?) but was not fortunate enough to see any zombies. Can you imagine?! Come on London you're supposed to have lots of crazy people! I was so expecting a zombie parade!

We got our first nomination!

My joint grad film Holy She*p got its first nomination in the 'best student film' category at the 'TOFUZI' International Festival of Animated Films in Georgia. Well done team sheep, and a big thank you to the people that helped and of course our main characters: Agnes the nun and Achilles the sheep :))

Fundraising

my contribution to a fundraising event of a friend and mentor who is running a half marathon on behalf of the WWF to raise money and help in saving the animals (and in particular the panda)! Long time no post! I have been very busy with graduating, helping with the grad show, BFI, moving and sorting out my MA applications and house for next year... rushing to Norway for a wedding and now finally back in Cyprus for the rest of the summer! I took a couple of weeks off, doing absolutely nothing, mostly catching up with family. My body (still trying to recover from a very VERY intense third year) has been very grateful for this :)  ...feeling a bit lazy now and should start getting back into doing some work. I have some personal projects on the way which I feel very excited for!!

these sketchbook pages are just something to get the blog up and running again.. Tom and Ricky are two of the Calarts students we met in Annecy while queuing for a screening.Well, we didn't make the screening after all but these guys were fun and nice to talk to!
